If you approach or select a half or full marathon program which does not fit with your running philosophy you will not enjoy it and end up either not successfully completing your goal or not enjoying the program. i.e. If your goal is simply to have fun, lose weight get fit and simply finish and you adopt a 6 day a week marathon and half marathon training program designed for racers i.e. those who are concerned with things like time, speed, pace, personal bests, and trying harder, you will either hurt yourself or at a minimum disappoint yourself.
