Running-induced injuries can occur in a variety of areas, but most commonly affect the feet, ankles, shins, knees, back and hips. They are usually due to damage to the bone and cartilage or to soft tissue or muscle. If you know where your own most venerable areas are, there is some preventative measures you can take. Listen to your body when little aches and pains strike. The two most common types of injury are shin splints and various type of knee problems.
